2003 Our big Show-Me Water Garden Tour will be Sunday, June 29 in Marshall and Slater. Tour tickets will be distributed to members at the May meeting. Please try to sell at least the 4 tickets. Additional tickets are available from Kathy Wright, 886-6712. We need the proceeds from the tour for our community service project at the Center for Human Services. We will hold an information meeting for the homeowners on the tour following the plant exchange on May 15. If you have distributed posters or flyer to
businesses, please follow up to see if they need additional materials. Volunteers are needed to co-host at
the various homes on the tour.

enjoy feeding my fish. I feed
them once or twice a day in the summer.
Someone told me that I am overfeeding my fish. Is it possible to overfeed your
fish? Hungry Fish Dear Hungry Fish, Yes you can overfeed your fish. When you feed your fish they should
eat up the food within a minute or so.
If they are leaving food, they probably are being overfed. There are several problems with
overfeeding your fish. In a large
well-balance pond, your fish can find natural food. When they are searching for food, they
are more active and therefore healthier.
Overfeeding puts more waste materials in your water from wasted fish
food and amount of waste the fish excrete. This will cause cloudy water and
increase the ammonia in the water.
Just because you eat three times a day, doesn’t mean your fish
need to eat that many times. Polly Send your questions to: Polly Ponder |
